DREAMHACK COSPLAY CONTEST

We believe that cosplay is important, and it plays a vital role in the world of gaming and fantasy. To celebrate that, we want to have the best cosplay contest EVER! Starting making your costumes now, or pull out one of your favorites, and sign up today to take part in the first DreamHack Denver Cosplay contest taking place on Saturday, October 21st.

There will be THREE TIERS for the contest: Beginner, Advanced, and Expert. If you have any questions fill out the form below and we will respond as soon as possible!

CONTEST SCHEDULE

Date: Saturday Oct. 21st
1:00pm-4:00pm – Pre-Judging of the contest (located in DreamOrder)
7:00pm – Arrival for all cosplay contestants (will line up near Main Stage)
7:45pm-8:45pm – Cosplay Contest (Awards to follow on the Main Stage)

PHOTOGRAPHERS: If you would like to come to the pre-judging to get some pictures away from the crowds you are more than welcome to do so, as long as we have the space!

PARTY: And don’t forget, after the cosplay contest, stick around in your cosplay and get ready to dance! Live music kicks off on the main stage right after the contest!

Master Tier

1st – $700, Trophy, 2x Tickets to a DreamHack 2018 event.
2nd – $500, Trophy, 2x Tickets to a DreamHack 2018 event.
3rd – $300, Trophy, 2x Tickets to a DreamHack 2018 event.

Journeyman Tier

1st – $400, Trophy, 2x Tickets to a DreamHack 2018 event.
2nd – $250, Trophy, 2x Tickets to a DreamHack 2018 event.
3rd – $100, Trophy, 2x Tickets to a DreamHack 2018 event.

Novice Tier

1st – $150, Trophy, 2x Tickets to a DreamHack 2018 event.

Judges

Countess Tifa

Countess Tifa is currently a Colorado based cosplayer. Debuting her first cosplay early 2015. Starting off her career in Savannah, GA ; Tifa has continued to strive to improve her skills. Being self taught, Tifa loves to tackle projects that challenge her. She is a promoter of positive energy in the community and believes that anyone can cosplay not matter what the skill level is.

Vanessa de Galicia

Vanessa aka Xxfruitcakexx cosplay has been cosplaying since 2005 and has done over 85 costumes. Mostly cosplaying from videogames, her favorite games include League of Legends, Super Smash Bros (Melee and Brawl), and Overwatch. When she isn’t cosplaying, she is most likely gaming and streaming on twitch. Her love for both cosplay and gaming has given her the opportunity to work with some amazing companies such as Roosterteeth, Gamefly, and BandaiNamco.

Karl Brevik

Captain K is a professional actor and cosplayer based out of Colorado. An active member of SAG/AFTRA and a featured cosplay guest of Wizard World, he has been costuming as long as he can remember, and professional for nearly five years. Best known for his Marvel featured portrayal of J. Jonah Jameson, his standing as the official Dread Pirate Roberts and of course, Sexy Gandalf. He is also the founder and CEO of the charity CareActor Select.

That’s right, we are going to be doing a kid’s cosplay contest Saturday evening right before the main event! Bring your kid by in their best cosplay so they can have their moment on the big stage!
